Life does not give receipts…

So what if, for the moments however brief, we are given to create something we choose to be grateful for them?

Would our creativity be encouraged by the idea that there are others out there prohibited to express any of it for want of law, culture, or outlet? This is the question of the painter without paint, the writer without pen, or the photographer without lens.

All I know is that I need to be more thankful for the outlets I am afforded. Not that I think expression is a privilege – I don’t, but I do think that expression from a place of gratitude is far less stressful, possesses far more freedom, and ultimately makes a greater impact.

I think it’s just a better place from which to make art. Thoughts?
